The Joys of Living

A Jacquard Woven Print

The Joys of Living is a flimsy and ditsy take on a traditional toile fabric. Illustrated in ink and designed in NedGraphics. I wove this on a TC-2 jacquard loom in four color-ways, and it works as a double-sided fabric.

Here are my original motifs in ink. After creating my half-drop repeat and reducing the colors, I took the file to NedGraphics to clean the work and assign weaves to each color.

Then, I began my weave. I used polyester-cotton sewing thread as my wefts, and used four colors total.
